Advice taken

I have a daily calendar on my desk that has a quote-a-day, famous birthdays, a word definition, a little bit of history and a section called "Take a break" that offers advice for stress relief or a cleaning tip or a little game.

I am going through some of the days that I didn't peel off last week. I think there's a reason for that: I need the quote and the "Take a break" advice TODAY (and not on May 12).

Quote:

"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." -- Plato

Take A Break:

Learn to distinguish between what is truly important and what is not. Ask yourself if the outcome of a particular situation will affect you in a year's time. If not, then let go of all the stress and worry that accompany the situation. It's not worth it in the long run.

I really like the "1-year" rule on whether to worry about something. Great advice!
